About Us

John Golka purchased KD Transmission three years ago from the original owner Ken Kelly. John had been with Ken since 2010 and the Transmission Shop prior to this. The staff at KD Transmission have years experience including John's Dad, Donny Golka who has been with the company since 1966. Donny has a wide range of knowledge in the classic transmissions. They also have licensed full time mechanics and Gary has been with them since 2001.

In 2017, Justin joined the team with over 20 years experience in transmission service.

The staff are all avid car fans and its not uncommon to see them out at the local car shows and tracks. Not only do they support local events but Johnny races out at Shannonville and surrounding areas in the Super Pro Drag Class with his car "Flatliner".
